Privacy policy

What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted.

Who this covers

This policy covers The Transformation Edge Ltd, ABN 68 166 008 377, and this website.

It does not cover Edge Community Care Services Ltd, which is a separate legal entity with its own privacy notice. If you are dealing with ECCS, its policy applies, not this one.

What we collect

We ask for as little as will do the job. Every form on this site asks for a name and one way to reply, and nothing more.

A contact form
Your name and one contact method, plus whatever you choose to write. It is emailed to our church office and kept nowhere else: not on this website, and not in any list.
The Life-Link finder
Your suburb and one contact method, so we can tell you which group is nearest. It is emailed to our church office and kept nowhere else.
A prayer request
Whatever you write, and a contact method only if you give one. Prayer requests go to the pastoral team and are not read by anyone else, not circulated, and not added to any list. The email that reaches the pastoral team is the only copy: nothing is kept on this website.
Giving by bank transfer
Your bank shows us the name and reference on the transfer. We do not see or hold your account credentials. No card details are ever entered on this site.
Visiting this site
Standard server logs held by our host, used to keep the site working and secure. There are no third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this site.

What we do with it

We use what you give us to reply to you, and for nothing else. We do not sell personal information, we do not trade it, and we do not hand it to anyone for marketing.

Being in touch with us does not put you on a mailing list. If you want to be on one, you have to ask.

Messages from the forms on this site are sent by email through Cloudflare, which hosts the site, to our church's mailbox with Google Workspace. Neither is a new place for them: Cloudflare already carries every visit to this site, and Google already holds our email. No form service or other third party sees them.

If you buy something from the shop

An order collects your name and your email address, which is where the receipt goes. If you ask us to post it, we also collect the delivery address and a phone number, because the carrier needs both. If you are collecting your order at a gathering, we do not ask for an address at all.

Payment is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. Your payment details are never entered on this site and we never see or hold them. Stripe holds the payment record under its own privacy terms and acts as our processor for the order.

We read order details in Stripe in order to make up and send your order, and to answer you if something goes wrong. We do not add you to a mailing list because you bought something. Order records are kept for as long as our tax and consumer law obligations require, which the review noted above will state exactly.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising cookies and carries no third-party tracking scripts. Nothing that identifies you is loaded before you consent to it.

Where we measure anything, it is aggregate: how many people opened a page, not who they were.

The shop basket is the one thing this site stores in your browser. It holds what you have chosen and nothing about you, it stays on your own device, it is never sent to us until you go to pay, and it is cleared when your order is done.

How long we keep it

Only as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it for, after which it is deleted. Retention periods for each kind of record are being confirmed and will be stated here specifically rather than in general terms.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email frontdesk@thetransedge.com or call (02) 7209 1453. We will respond within a reasonable period and we will not charge you for asking.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to us first, and then to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. You are entitled to go to the Commissioner whether or not you have raised it with us.

Photographs

We do not publish a photograph of an identifiable person without their consent, and we do not publish a photograph of a child without the recorded consent of a parent or guardian. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing us, and the photograph comes down.
