What happens

  1. Pick a day

We gather Sundays at 9:30am and Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Nothing is booked and nothing is needed. Turn up.

  2. Park and come in

There is parking on site and on the street. The main entrance is on Harford Street, and it is step-free.

  3. Say it is your first time

The welcome desk is just inside the main entrance. Tell them it is your first day and someone will walk you in and sit with you if you would like.

Who to look for

The welcome team wear a badge with the Edge mark on it. If you would rather message ahead so someone is expecting you, call(02) 7209 1453 or emailfrontdesk@thetransedge.com, and we will meet you at the door.

Questions people actually ask

What do people wear?

Whatever you are comfortable in. You will see everything from a suit to shorts on the same row.

Will I be singled out?

No. We do not ask visitors to stand, introduce themselves or put a hand up. Nobody will ask you for money.

What happens with my kids?

EdgeKids runs during the gathering for school-age children, with screened and trained leaders. Younger children are welcome to stay with you, and there is space at the back if you need to move around.

How long does it go for?

About an hour and a half, including time afterwards for a cup of tea.

Is the building accessible?

The main entrance and the auditorium are step-free, and there is an accessible toilet. If you need anything specific, call us before you come and we will sort it out.

What if I am not religious?

You are welcome exactly as you are. Plenty of people here came for the first time not knowing what they thought, and that is a completely normal way to arrive.
