Our community
Many countries, many first languages, one room on a Sunday morning.
Who is here
Our congregation comes from many countries, and the work of a Sunday is done by people who were new themselves not long ago.
Nobody is a project here. People arrive with languages, skills and convictions intact, and our church is better for what they bring.
Congregation talking after a gathering, several groups in frame, no single subject. Nobody posed and nobody centred.

What people bring
- Languages
- Several first languages are spoken in the car park after a Sunday. The gathering is in English, and the conversation afterwards is in whatever people brought with them.
- Professions
- Nurses, drivers, teachers, tradespeople, students, carers, engineers and people between jobs. The room holds a lot of expertise and very little pretension about it.
- Ages
- Children, teenagers, students, young families, people in the middle of a working life, and people who have finished one. All in the same room on the same morning.
- Histories
- Some families have been in Western Sydney for generations. Some arrived last year. Both know things the other needs.
Belonging before believing
You do not have to agree with us to be part of what happens here. Take the time you need to work out what you think. There is nothing to sign and no membership to take out.
Beyond a Sunday
Edge Community Care Services Ltd is our sister organisation and a separately endorsed charity. Its community work is open to anyone in Western Sydney, and nobody is asked about faith to get help.
